Let’s Live Well in Rushcliffe: Rethinking Dementia & Aging Together

In Rushcliffe, we’re hoping to become a borough that shows how people can truly thrive with age — not just grow older. With the right support, social connection, and a focus on prevention, we believe later life can be vibrant, independent, and fulfilling.
❓Did you know that up to 40% of dementia cases are considered preventable through changes in lifestyle? Staying physically active, socially connected, mentally stimulated, and managing long-term conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes can all make a difference.
That’s where Population Health Management and our Social Prescribing Community Hub come in.
📍The Hub is where prevention meets connection — offering free drop-ins, creative workshops, movement sessions, and wellbeing support to help people live well and feel supported in the community.
💬 It’s also where we link residents to vital services and information — and during Dementia Action Week 2025 (May 19–25), we’re encouraging everyone to get involved.

👉 Please take a moment to read it and share it with someone who might benefit. Together, we can make sure no one faces dementia alone.
Let’s raise awareness, take action, and show what’s possible.
