In Autumn every year we offer a completely free flu vaccination to all our patients aged over 65 years. This is also strongly recommended for ‘high risk’ patients, for example those with heart or chest disease, diabetics, asthmatics and those working in institutions or nursing homes.
We recommend patients over 65 years to have a Pneumonia vaccine and those patients who are at risk.
We also encourage patients who are 70 years of age to have a Shingles vaccine.
The guide linked below can help you understand the vaccines offered in the UK and when to have them. It also explains how they work and why they’re safe and important. If you have any questions or concerns regarding vaccinations, please contact us.

Vaccinating your child against infectious illness is one of the single most important things you can do to protect their health. Vaccination is recommended for ALL children unless there is a medical contra-indication. The schedule is described in the child’s Red Book but this changes occasionally and the Health Visitor or Practice Nurse can advise when vaccinations are required.
