Self Referral

Self Referral

Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

The Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) provides assessment and treatment for people with recently occurring minor eye problems. It is an NHS service provided by accredited optometrists (also commonly called opticians).

We provide a confidential and free service for anyone who is experiencing problems with their mood, feeling stressed, unhappy and unsatisfied with how their life is going. These difficulties may or may not be linked to ongoing (or past) stressful events and experiences, and quite often resolve on their own. To Refer yourself – simply click on the link to “self refer “at the top of the page, once you have accessed the website.
